The gear selection at 16 Ton Recording Studios is among the best in the city and our custom console, The Dymaxion-48, is the world’s largest, tube format console and unique to 16 Ton. Designed by Ian Gardiner, Steven Firlotte, and Danny White in Southern California, the Dymaxion is a monster tracking and mixing console. The console, a 24X8X48 split design is simple to operate, producing a powerful, signature sound that has been a part of major label gold records to the smallest of independent projects.
